Ontario Sheet Metal Workers Union - Training Centre - Nickel Award

Scope: Soheil Mosun Limited was contracted to produce an enlarged image of a Canadian five cent piece for "The Nickel Award", a recognition piece for the Ontario Sheet Metal Workers Training Centre and the Provincial Sheet Metal Workers Training Trust Fund.

Highlights: This Nickel Award features an oversize reproduction of a Canadian five cent piece. The material used is Supreme No.8 mirror finished stainless steel grade T304 of a 22 gauge thickness. The image from the coin was scaled up and etched onto the sheet metal then cut and sent to the Ontario Sheet Metal Workers Training Centre where it then was sent to Sudbury Ontario to be used in a training process whereby the full award was fabricated by trainees as part of a larger project.
