Jamaica AirTrain Station - Waiting Rooms & Kiosks

Location: Jamaica, New York

Designer/Architect: The Port Authority of NY & NJ

Duration: Dec 2002 - Dec 2005

Scope: Soheil Mosun Limited was contracted to desgin, fabricate and install (5) waiting room cabins, (2) wheel house structures, and (2) information booths.

Highlights: The Jamaica AirTrain Station was selected by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as the hub for the new AirTrain link, connecting the JFK airport to New York's extensive rail system. SML's portion of this multi-million dollar restoration & construction project was to provide very rugged outdoor structures. The scope and physical size of this project required unique solutions to both shipping and installation logistics. To that end, SML designed a modular system that could be fabricated rapidly, transported in bulk, and installed with relative ease, making these structures viable where ever rugged outdoor stuctures are required.
