Scope: Soheil Mosun Limited was contracted to build this solid marble, steel framed concierge desk in the atrium of Commerce Court West, a class 'A' office tower in the heart of Toronto's financial district.
Highlights: The concierge desk is 60 feet long. The frame of the concierge desk is cold rolled steel tube welded and mounted to a 2" granite block above a 3 1/2" concrete slab. The marble is 3/4" slabs of Bianca Carrera. Alloy 304 stainless steel is used for all visible metal finishes. Lighting system is a programmable rgb led system seated behind starphire glass panels and reflected out using specular aluminum panels. The marble is polished to a satin finish and appears seamless overall due to the use of large continuous slabs wherever possible. The desk is the dominating feature of the atrium.
